POF : I wish there were enough people to crowdfund and buy pof from match, and then find out what the FUCK goes on behind the scenes
From what I can gather:

Women can create an account with NO details, men have to have a minimum of characters.

Women get a « flirt » button.
​
Men who get blocked a few times (10-20?, impossible to know the exact number) get banned, for whatever reason, the creators decided that women won’t block someone without good reasons (lol).

I have seen women’s accounts last for YEARS without getting banned, and there’s no way these women never get blocked.
​
Every piece of circumstantial evidence points to an anti-male bias, why the fuck that is I don’t know, now I am back to making yet another account, with more hurdles to get back on the site (phone verification, lol)

If anyone’s wondering, I have never sent anything nasty, I get blocked on what I assume to be just being below the standards of the women I message

Women do get banned though, at least I’ve seen a few claim they keep getting deleted on their profiles. I messaged a few of them and told them why based on what I’ve learned here. One of them actually gave me her number out of that conversation, I didn’t even ask for it, so that was cool (it didn’t go anywhere though). She got deleted again within like 24 hours.
I also figured out that if I get blocked by someone, I can use the website version and go into my sent messages and block that person, so I do that every time now. I got quite sick of getting blocked for simply sending polite introductory messages myself.
I wouldn’t give a shit about getting blocked if it didn’t mean getting kicked off the site eventually. I’d be happy to be blocked all day long. Just one less person to have to try to remember I’d already messaged before.
I can confirm that it is common among the dating sites particularly POF that if a Male gets blocked X number of times they are kicked, paid members also. As far as the « flirt » button I have never seen it nor has anyone I know. I live in a mid-sized northern US city. I do know that all the extras do very by area.
Your logic is based on what you think it is your opinion. As a woman on POF and someone who has guy friends on POF, they too get a flirt button it is not just a button for women. Us women do not get anything for free on POF. Someone tried to say women get free stuff guys don’t on POF but that is certainly not true. Women can get banned as well
