POF : I’m so confused, is POF Legit/Real, as anyone actually met some one or had a purposeful conversation?
Is such a weird space. It’s full of bots, stuck up people and those who go on live. I’m not even trying to be rude but even then people hovering about average looks and personality wise are just rude. I’m genuinely interested in people and can’t get anything. People on live rather argue with some than get to know someone. Maybe I’m just venting but is this app worth it?

It was pretty good ten years ago. Not so much now days.
It’s real. You just have to be realistic going in that most of them won’t be your type and you won’t be their type. Stick to whatever standards you have and don’t pay attention to those that don’t fall into your spectrum or don’t message back. These are low stakes, and don’t even start to matter in a real way until you’ve met offline. Which’ll be a while.

Yes, it’s real. I met my fiance on there 2 years ago. Sure, I had a bunch of bad encounters prior, but using common sense, and screening the people thoroughly I learned from those bad encounters.

The secret to POF is to be old and fat. Any message from someone who looks 25 and hot is OBVIOUSLY a bot. Now, I do feel for young, hot, 20-somethings as the bots look correct for y’all. Lol

It and tinder have been great recently. All the women who would normally find a random dude at the bar for the night have come online. I put right in my profile that I’m not interested in anything serious. Seems to have worked for them.
