She approached the unfamiliar door and nervously took the key from her pocket. She took a deep breath, unlocked the door, paused, then opened it. To her horror, she saw…

A zombie!

The zombie used to be an average human, but then the coronavirus turned them into this hideous creature. They seem braindead, and yet, it seems there’s life inside.

She looked into the zombie’s eyes and felt like somehow; she knew this person. She couldn’t quite put her finger on who it was, but she knew them in a previous life.

She sat down in a chair that was in the corner of the room. The chair was the same chair she used to nurse her infant son in. The zombie stood on the other side of the room, looking at her with a menacing look on it’s face. As she sat down in the chair to try to understand what the hell was happening, it dawned on her who the zombie was.

Her husband used to also feed their son in this particular chair. Both of them loved this chair on those long sleepless nights when their son would wake up crying. But, she hadn’t seen her husband in a few days, he never came home from work on Wednesday, and now it was Saturday, and there was still no sign of him.

But as she continued to gaze at the zombie and stare into its eyes, she realized where her husband was; he was standing right in front of her, with that menacing look on his face.
