POF : Is there any way a woman can message first?
I kind of really am hating this game of never messaging anyone. I look everyday and only the very unattractive men message me it seems. And ds black men. I’m not into either. It’s a waste of space to just wait for someone to message me first. This is like regular life only black guys hit on me irl. I cut my hair and wear french braids so I get less attention from them. But anyway it’s like no one messages me that I really want to talk to. So I get bored on this website my ultra matches have so many guys in their 30’s I generally like men my age or younger. Not older. I’m in my mid 20’s like midmost nowhere near 30. But some ultra matches are definitely my type but I don’t want to message them and make them think I’m fake. I know many women in Vegas will catch their eye before me. Was hoping my personality could match better but a picture doesn’t show that. Or I guess I should just ignore them.

You can absolutely message first on POF. Go to their profile, hit Send Message, and bam. Type up to your heart’s content.
If you want to meet someone, message them. I have had some of the best situations when I was messaged first. I’m seeing this one girl who messaged me first and she’s awesome.
I message all the time as a female, so I don’t totally get your question. Be proactive with your time on PoF, don’t wait for guys to come to you. There is no rule that you can’t come to them. And if they are turned off by that, why do you want to talk to them anyways?
Just like with when guys message girls first, odds are slim the person will be interested, but you won’t know if you don’t try. Make sure you’re sending first messages that reference their account and prompt a response. If you are responding with personalized responses I doubt they’ll think you’re fake.
