POF : Need help sextortion pof scam possible
This is my stupid fault as of course not thinking with the right head and the fact that it was convincing but i was messaging a girl on pof and then of course it moved to texting and of course lead to an exchange of one explicit picture from me and one from her. After that she started messaging less and less and less until she stopped completely. Then the next day i get a call from a 310 number, i live in california near riverside and her number was a 424 number which is in torrance. I had heard about the sextortion thing but never thought id experience it but i get a long text from the father supposedly saying that he hired a private investigator, that the wife is too upset, and that i need to call him immediately or else he will press charges so already everything is lining up with it being a scam. So i never called never texted back and i deleted and blocked all the numbers and deleted my pof account. My question is does this sound like textbook scamming? Cuz i did not talk to him so i do not know if he was going to ask for money but i think he was. What are your guys opinion? By the way her profile is still up and shes still online and only had two pics on there but sent me 3 pretty convincing normal pics of her but still was suspicious. I mean im pretty damn sure this is just a scammer and has probably moved on from me after i blocked the numbers. I wish i had taken a photo of what he said but i mean i lined up nearly exactly with the common scam texts.
