POF : People have bad memories on apps
Do people have bad memories? I had a woman send me the same message 3 times over 3 months. I chatted with a woman briefly on another app. She unmatched me because I told her she has enough men to juggle cuz I never hear from her for almost a week (which is fine), only to message me on pof 2 weeks later not even remembering me. I messaged a girl and she stopped responding. A year later after having a kid she messages me on POF as if it’s her 1st time messaging me. Focus people!

I find the opposite. I’m the one with the bad memory.
I’ll message someone, suggesting that we may have chatted in the past, but i’d definite seen their profile… and they’ll come back saying I cracked the shits with them, and when i ask why I did, they can’t recall THAT bit. So yeah… the problem is me.
Funnily enough, for the most part, I’m a pretty « nonchalant / don’t give a fuck » kinda guy, so getting shitty at random people on datings apps isn’t me – unless they’ve genuinely insulted me…
But yeah, they sure as fuck remember if we’ve chatted, and can remember the circumstances and that it was me that stopped chatting with them, but conveniently cant remember why I supposedly cracked the shits with them in the first place.
I on Pof since November and see so many fake profiles, I don’t understand what the point of it??
This is why I block a guy after we talk and I realize we are not a match. No point for either of us to pop back up in each other’s queue. It’s just more efficient because I know I won’t remember every dude I talk to either.
This happens when I update my photo. They show up in my inbox like we haven’t met before lol
