POF : POF is hot garbage now
I met the love of my life a year and a half ago on POF, the app was bar none the best free app on the market because there was no bullshit.
A friend of mine who is not tech savvy wanted to get on a dating app so I set him up on POF and its damn near unusable, every where he turns is some bullshit trying to get him to pay to talk to what is obviously not a real person or get on video chat bs with a insta-hoe.
I understand needing to monetize but they have taken things way to far. So glad I’ll never have to deal with any of this again. It’s sad though, POF use to be great and I’d recommend to everyone, not anymore.

The absolute worst part is that the distance parameter of the search doesn’t work anymore. Now it doesn’t matter how many miles away you set your search, it ONLY shows you people who are in the city you searched for. If you search DC you only get DC people. To see anyone outside you have to search that specific town. It’s ridiculous that someone in Alexandria wouldn’t show up in a DC search. They’ve basically made the site non-functional now. A shame. I also used to think it was really good.
