POF : POF sucks for age gap relationships
I’m looking for an age gap relationship and signed up to POF. Not only did I pay to be able to see who likes me, I quickly realized that there isn’t a way for people seeking an age gap relationship to easily connect.
I get lot’s of people to swipe through. All of the people I can message are below the age I’m looking for. There is a small majority that I like who are older than me. I then visit their profiles to find out they only accept messages from a specific age range. If that is the case why are they on my matches for???
I did further research to find out this feature was implemented to prevent « creepy old men » from messaging younger girls.
The fact they couldn’t just implement a system to enable age gap relationships is ridiculous. This is 2020 where anyone can be whatever gender they want and have whatever sexuality they want. They’ve effectively persecuted a specific group of people (cubs) for no reason.
If someone is only attracted to older partners they’re basically given a massive F*** You from POF.

Women can message anybody. I get messages from much older women.
Well, the only thing you can do is to change your age and then write in your bio what your real age is
Its actually the women who make this change. I can message anyone at any age if they allow it, but if they make their profile, to ensure they only speak to people of their age, then theres nothing you can do. Its a preference they chose.
Your complaint is no different that men complaining they can’t message other men who made it clear they are are only interested in women.
This app sucks in general. Censors all my words. I can’t even say the word cake
