POF : [Rant] POFs swear filter.
Firstly, it seems to be off by default for me, which I don’t mind at all, but on by default for everyone else on the site, or women anyways. So I can receive a torrent of swear words but if I use a word like “naughty” not even in a sexual context, the message won’t send. Not only will it not send, but it won’t even notify me that the message hasn’t sent, it will say “message sent”. Then you look in your inbox and realise it hasn’t sent.
I find my self having to copy messages before sending, then checking if they’ve sent. If they haven’t sent I have to scout through them to determine what Pof has determined to be swearing and change it. Some times I can’t even find the word and I’m just bewildered at what it could possibly have picked up.
Like it’s not hard enough already on there!

They used to have chat that was even worse. They didnt censor but changed words to the point your chat didn’t make any sense.

Which is by design, as if you start telling spammers that their messages are not going through and then if you were to tell them what words would trip the filter, in the end your filter would be useless.
Sometimes it feels like to women, men are an enemy that they can’t do without, the filter is one example of the many things women have to « protect » them from men.
