1. It was likely a bot account that got deleted. This site is 80% bots

2. If anyone remembers POF chat, it wouldn’t ban words, it would change them. It made perfectly written sentences into Engrish, as the substitute words were so badly chosen

3. Definitely sounds like you accidentally triggered their filter. I’ve done it before with totally innocent messages. I had to reword them before it would send

4. Pof has a key word eliminator. If you are male and have specifically dangerous words or pairing of words in your message, it will delete it without sending it.
