POF : So many scammers
Anyone else feel like there are so many scammers on POF? I wish they would verify pictures some how.

My personal experience so far is POF seems to be full of fake profiles whereas I haven’t come across any on OKC. Only problem is OKC had about 30 users within 20 miles of me so it’s a ghost town.
Not sure why all the fakes invade POF and not OKC as they are both free to join.

Speaking for the woman’s side, I feel like the guys have a lot more women scammers. Personally, I haven’t come across too many but I’ve also figured out how to spot them.
A few months ago I got a message from a guy. White guy named Jeff, said was born and raised in NY, but had quite broken English. Enough to make me curious but there could be a reasonable explanation. Said he’s in the military, on deployment. Kept asking me if I’d ever talked to military guys online. He must have asked that at least three or four times within a span of ten or twelve messages. I finally told him that to me, being Canadian, someone being in the military is just another job. Its doesnt have the glamor that it does in the US and I’m not sure why he keeps bringing it up.
His whole story doesn’t add up, at one point he’s telling me about how he has a house, and then later he’s telling me about how he wants to buy a house someday and maybe I could help.
I cut off contact.
Today, I got a message from a guy in Toronto. Named Steve, blonde haired white guy. Says he was raised in TO. But broken english.
Then he tells me he’s in the military, on deployment, and starts asking whether I’ve ever talked to a military guys online before.
Anyone else have these kinds of messages? I can’t really say for sure it’s a scam, but seems odd. With the first one the convo moved to WhatsApp before I ended it, so probably not a POF bot.
