So just had this happen. Was using the POF App and wanted to message someone, but it wouldn’t let me saying « She’s a catch! To avoid overwhelming (her) only upgraded users can message her. »

I pull out my laptop and login, and was able to go to her profile and send her a message without being nudged into upgrading.

Now isn’t that some bullshit?

  1. If you notice with most dating apps that also have website’s it is always cheaper to sign up for stuff on the website itself and not the app. Bumble charges $9.99 on the app for a week of seeing who swiped you, and on the website it charges $8.99. Same thing with match and the other sites. You are being charged more to buy from the app rather than from the website
