POF : The instagram plug
Is that just someone trying to get instagram followers? The copy pasta « I’m not on here ever, so you should reach me on my instagram @blahblahblah »…. Do they actually want random o.l.d dudes to hit up their instagram, or is that so they get more followers on it or whatever? I wanted to check my POF to see if it’s still a bunch of downright peculiarly worded descriptions that read like they were typed up by a foreign scam call center phone operator..
And yeah it’s still mostly a bunch of broken english descriptions in profiles by women with ‘english’ listed as their language and a bunch of other obviously fake profiles. I really can’t tell if there are many real profiles to even bother messaging, but they must be flooded with messages so I’ll get overlooked anyway. So frustrating, I really would rather meet someone online than have to go out somewhere and just be that guy hitting on a bunch of attractive women until someone says « sure, let’s grab coffee »… meh

Many people put their IG and Snapchat in their profiles. Many also will ask for your Snapchat before they even have sent you a handful of messages. So many just want more followers for more social media attention.
I can’t get to know anyone through IG and Snapchat. Those are fine after we have established we connect and like each other. But I don’t want to follow and be followed by women I don’t even know anything about.
They say « I am hardly on here so just add me on there ». If you are hardly on at all, what is the point of even signing up?
It’s spam to get followers. Don’t fall for that nonsense.
