POF : They changed up the mobile site again…
Since I live in an isolated wasteland I’ve set my location to somewhere near civilization. For almost as long as I’ve been on POF I’ve used the mobile website instead of the mobile app. Why? The mobile site allowed me to search profiles without inputting a zip code, which gave me a nationwide search. This worked well for me because anyone on the East Coast effectively isn’t much farther away from me than someone on the West.
It looks like they’ve messed with the mobile site. I kind of like the infinite scroll thing they’ve got going on. On the other hand, it seems they’ve changed the functionality such that leaving the zip code field blank means it searches in a certain radius of the location I claim to be in. Even telling the search engine to look in Canada instead of the US gave me two results, both of them American.
Sometimes I feel some force actively wants me not to date.
