POF : What am I doing wrong?
So I (31m) started using Plenty of Fish, as well as about half a dozen other dating apps, a few months ago. And I’ve been having basically no success.
Across all the apps, I’ve had maybe 20 matches. Most of them unmatched me right away. I’ve had a few conversations that didn’t really go anywhere. And I’ve had exactly 1 meet up, and that was with someone I already knew before we ran into each other on an app.
I like to think my profile is interesting, definitely honest, and avoids any cliches (travel, dogs, emojis, etc.) My pics are all clear and show my face, usually smiling. I don’t think I’m ugly or overweight. And I don’t send dick pics or rude pickup lines.
So what am I doing wrong?

One thing I changed when I had the same problem was, I had no full-body pictures. I only had pictures of my face. Once I uploaded a good fully body pic my phone exploded from the matches. I actually met my current GF because of the body picture I had.
Just make sure you don’t have pictures of just your face. Include pictures of you outside, enjoying your hobbies or hanging out with friends. Also, POF seems weird where there were periods where I would get 0 matches for weeks on end, then all of a sudden I’d get tons of matches, be texting 3-4 people at once and then it dies down again.
