POF : Women and their safety issues

I get women on OLD where they get overwhelmed by all the men pouncing on them and once they start a « conversation » (online) they get dick pics, sexual come ons, etc. as well wanting to immediately get their phone number which may or may not lead to online (and in person) stalking, constant texts and phone calls.

My frustration with this current 62F contact (I’m 67M in the same town) is her POF byline is « Meet for a chat? » After a few POF text exchanges I said « Next to talking face-to-face, it is easier to actually talk rather than text. Do you care to have a real time chat, i.e. phone, FaceTime, Zoom, Whatsapp? »

Her response is « I’m pretty guarded on this site. Maybe meet up in the Trader Joe’s line :-D. »

I joked it was a great idea for a first date. Frankly I was thinking of WTF? Why the heck are you on a dating site?! Her reasoning,  » I am not in a rush and like the idea of Kismet. »

Right now I don’t have much going on and have time but what she shared makes me judge her to be someone who is not serious about dating/meeting men (her POF name is « LovesAFunFriend »).

What’s your take on her? My modus operandi is to actually talk/video chat with someone before I actually get out of my house to meet in person. Someone’s profile and texting does not give me enough to make me decide to continue with the « getting to know you » time and effort.
