POF : Would it be weird to give a guy my email address?
The website is annoying to use on my phone and I don’t want to sift through my inbox to have a conversation with him. I also just prefer initially communicating with new people online via email. I’m shy and it’s just a much more comfortable way of getting to know another person for me.
I have yet to say hello to him and just wanted to make sure it’s not too weird or suspicious(“is this a scam?”) to request that he email me instead.

To be honest, if someone asked me the email right away, I’d think it’s a scam.
If you plan to do it anyway, please use a text that does not look generic and made by a machine, referencing his profile.
