POF : Would you drive 2 hours to meet someone you have met on POF and had fun talking to?

Met this girl on POF, she is really nice. Talked on the phone, texting.. Now, she’s invited me to her place, but I am 2 hours away and it’s freezing cold. She lives alone with 2 kids.

  1. If you think there is a connection and been talking for ages then I would. If your just looking for a 1 night bit of fun, when there are kids involved i wouldnt.

  2. Nah tbh 2+ hours is to far unless you’re spending the night. Or planning on being with her or you just like to drive and have gas to waste.

If its For something quick keep it 1hr or under. An hour is pushing it. But I have drove an hour to have sex before but that’s my max for a quicky.

  3. Funny you said that. A girl messaged me (says on her page as well) she doesnt have a car and was interested in getting to know me if I didnt mind the 1.5 hour drive.

I could respond and say « well I hope you dont mind the 2 hour bus ride you would have to take to see me ». What if you drive 2hrs and it doesnt work? Beyond that no I wouldnt drive more than 50ish min to meet someone or date for that matter.

  4. I think it depends on your geographic situation. If you’re in a moderately sized city, then maybe no. I live in a rural area, so if everything else was there I’d probably take a chance. The only precondition is at least one video chat to help avoid being catfished….after a two hour drive there and another two hours back, that would really suck.

  5. I drove 8 hours and spent a weekend in a motel after talking to a girl on tinder for a couple of hours once.

I also banged her for nearly the entire weekend so it was worth the drive.

  6. entirely up to you in the end, if your intent is hit it and get on your way maybe not, but if you’re thinking of more then maybe it would be worth a shot?

  7. Go for it. If you make the drive, ok, it might not work out. But if you don’t, it definitely won’t work out. So it’s worth a try. Even if it doesn’t work out, you’ll have a good story.

  8. I’d say go for it. Making a genuine connection is harder than ever these days. There’s nothing wrong with putting in some extra effort for a chance at something that could end up being great.
