POF : Zap! Your Gone
Ok, Bit of a Rant on POF … I was on both POF and OkCupid years ago and both were actually something good!
Got back on OKCupid a while back and have pretty much given up there as it’s all pretty much « Pay to Play » now and gone are all the cool User created tests (Remember those?).
On to my POF Rant… Went to sign up a few months back and stopped when it required a photo (didn’t have a decent recent one)… Fast forward to Today…
Went to the site, went through the entire Crappy Sign up Process Screen by Screen… (might be nice to put all the « About me » crap on ONE page instead of one at a time… Get to the last page hit enter and get dumped back to the beginning all over again.
So back through the whole process and successfully register the 2nd time around.
Go back in and edit the profile (didn’t put much in case of another dump event), add photos and start to look around….
Perhaps 15 minutes in I get kicked back to the login screen and when I attempt to log in get the You’ve been DELETED message with « Your Plenty of Fish account was removed due to a violation of our [Terms of Use](https://www.pof.com/terms) & [Community Guidelines](https://www.pof.com/communityguidelines). No Email, Nothing to say what got you deleted or anything to say « fix this » … just gone.
Was it the picture with the Cosplay Toy Gun (obviously Toy)?
Was it saying that if you consider yourself to be an « SJW » or « Snowflake » that we likely would not be a match? …. instead of saying « Activist » or « Emotionally Fragile »? or perhaps even that would be too harsh and offend someone? ….
Have to say I am Totally Unimpressed, Didn’t get to look around for long but when I can go on OkC or similar sites and see hatred and bashing going on (primarily against the right or conservative views) and get deleted for using pretty common terms not to bash people for their views, but to let them know that we’re not compatible then that’s a pretty sorry excuse for anything that is supposed to be used for people to find others they are compatible with.

It’s their platform they think you didn’t behave accordingly so they took you out as they can. Going forward if you’re trying to avoid ladies of a certain politics group maybe just saying you’re a conservative in your bio, and that will be a decent fix. Best of luck!
