A recycle bin exists in the Facebook social network. Recover your images and videos
Facebook has a recycle bin, a bin, but very few Internet users know it. With 3 clicks, we are there. In this article, I reveal here the location of one of the least used bins in the websites we visit every day. Who among us hasn’t made a post and deleted it yet? Who has not yet published a story, so a “story” and erase it or see it disappear after 24 hours? Who has never or read recover a post deleted inadvertently or by haste? In fact, where do our images end up once deleted from our posts?
The first thing to know about Facebook is that almost nothing is lost, everything is kept somewhere, either to wait for you for a last click which will permanently delete, evening which will give you the unexpected opportunity to make a restoration. You might be wondering why the creators of Facebook didn’t highlight it, or why they don’t talk about it too much. Does it depend on their general policy? You know these famous T & Cs (General Conditions of Use) that we all sign, for the most part at least, without having read anything. But I don’t think so. It is surely a question here of having a trace of your navigation in this network, in one way or another.
Where is this trash hiding?
Each Facebook account has a trash can, a recycle bin or a storage room, call it what you want but it is Poubelle for Marc Zukenberg’s social network. For those who know how to access their personal history, the path is easier. Just a little reminder, Facebook gets rid of an item in your trash after it has been there for 30 days. To see your recycle bin and everything you have put in it for at most 30 days, you have to go to « Profile settings », then to « Personal history ». Once we are there, we have 4 tabs. The Recycle Bin is in 4th position, almost out of your mobile screen. You just have to pull a little to see the Facebook junkyard appear. In there, you will find everything from your publications (images, videos, texts, even stories), deleted for less than 30 days.
