h2>Dating : Introduction: A Hobby of Idioms
According to my dearest friend, I am in need of a hobby.
It has been suggested that I may require some activity to keep me busy during the spring and summer evenings while Void is away, visiting their family.
I am not sure I approve of the idea of frivolous writing as a pass-time activity (nor explaining myself, as a matter of fact), but Void appears not to understand the idioms that they, themselves, have been incorporating into our conversations recently.
“Are you… quite sure I’m not using that correctly?,” Void will occasionally query, usually followed by a weird pout. While I take no pleasure in correcting my dearest friend, I do believe I owe it to them, so as to help them avoid future embarrassment when in the presence of less considerate company.
Mmm. And with that, it appears that explaining idioms to a friend will be my sometimes-hobby! A hobby of idioms, if you will.
I’ve put together a list of lovely phrases (as I see them), and my intention is to present this journal to Void for consumption when they’ve returned in the Autumn.
All else that stumble across this journal: take heed. Hearts may grow stronger with absence, but it can make them brittle as well. My apologies in advance, I suppose…
