h2>Dating : JesuSurfs
I’m in charge of the new SaaS, a radical departure from more traditional Software as a Service models. Jesus is in direct involvement with this one and rumor has it the name, Rapture, is his. This is the first time I’ve worked with him on a nearly daily basis and I gotta say his technical chops are impressive. The things I’m learning from this guy!
We were still working late one night about two weeks before launch when he brought up the rationale behind this new SaaS. He’s got this smooth-as-honey voice that makes anything he says sound eminently reasonable and do-able.
Why shouldn’t we be able to upload our consciousness into the cloud where it’s fully accessible and functional? And why shouldn’t we all have full access to each other’s consciousness in the same way we have access to each other’s calendars? It’s so logical that I can’t imagine why no one’s ever tried it before.
“Think of it as, well, surfing.” Jesus rises and stretches. “Want more tea?”
“You mean, like, surfing consciousnesses? Like being part of each other?”
“Precisely. I knew you were right for this launch.”
“And eventually everyone will be part of the cloud?”
He stopped on his way to the kitchen and didn’t say anything for a very long minute. When he turned to face me I saw the living Son of God in all his fearsome glory.
“Oh no. Only the chosen.”
