Dating : Love & I

Are not ideas meant to coexist like moon and planet.

We are more like Sun and Moon, a constant revolution of haphazard glimpses caught wayside before we vanish from each other’s horizons.

We are not words meant to be inked side by side on poetry paper. If we are, our poem is anything but rose colored glasses and passions whimpered.

We are broken mirrors and knuckles that have been kissed bloody by our devotion. We are not hot words and hotter touches kindled from embers to technicolor fireworks.

I am the aftermath of the day’s fourth fight. You can find my endearment in the glow of disappearing tail lights fading red to black. You can think of me as second hand smoke — all bitter poison and a lack of flavor.

What I am and what It is, is an antithesis.

You and I, we are gaunt fingers forever questing for like and cracked lips whispering timeless vows broken long before ever versed.

You & I are the unmeasurable distance between L & O & V & E.

What do you think?
