Police raid uncovers local assassin group
By A. Nonna Mouse Ryder.
SUMTOWN, N.A. — On Tuesday, July 21, 2020, Sumtown Police raided an abandoned publishing warehouse to bust a small assassin agency. The Chief of Police reported today that the group, now known as Team Ctrl + X, killed over three dozen people over the course of two years. Officers are working through records kept by the assassin agency to determine a complete list of victims. There is also a search for the group’s benefactors that ordered the murders. So far only local man John Booth has been identified and brought in.
The arrest of a local newspaper vendor, Sue Doe Nim, preceded Team Ctrl + X’ apprehension. Nim admitted to the group’s mode of operations. Customers would buy the town paper Shady Trees Gazette, from the corner vendor, then appear at Main Street bar Neil’s Pub to meet with an assigned contract killer. Bar owner Neil Ryder [no relation to author] is under investigation.
Families of the victims are planning a mass memorial service to honor their loved ones. If you are interested in donating to the cause, please contact Sumtown’s funeral home Mourning Birds.
Because of recent events, we regret to inform our readers that The Shady Tree Gazette will be temporarily ceasing all publishing productions. We will be back.
