He did everything right with you until he casually drop the ‘C’ bomb on you as if you didn’t mean anything to him– ‘Sorry but I have commitment issues’ and you’re left hanging there going through every interactions you had with him in your head, what did I do wrong that he don’t want to commit to the idea of us?

There are two sides when it comes to our feelings , our logical and emotional side.

The little voice in our heart will tell you all the words to make everything feel alright even if it’s to stick around & hold on to the faint hope that if you try a little harder then he will finally see you clearly and value your worth.

But here comes the logical side of our brain, if we are to just take his words at face value… it only meant what our heart are protecting us from –

It’s just another way of him trying to tell you that he’s just not that into you & you’re not someone that he is willingly to settle down and commit to.

It’s normal to play through all the past scenarios of your midnight adventure, heart-to-heart conversation and internal jokes that you had with someone you thought meant the world to you.

Trying your hardest to find the cracks and making sense of this situation by going through all your conversations together that holds so dear to you but.. no matter how many times you go through it, you just can’t seems to find the answer to the question you’re looking for.

But with time, you’ll slowly come to term with this. You finally see him clearly without rose-tinted glasses and come to a realization that he was just leading you this whole time because as heartbreaking as it’s- you were just an option to him and the ‘situationship’ were convenient for him.

Don’t ever think for a second that you’re foolish to pour your heart out to someone because it takes braveness to pour your heart out and it takes courage to commit your feelings to someone. You are kind, full of love to be there for someone when they needed you the most.

But it’s important to know when to take your leave when you are taken for granted.

Take as much time as you need to heal, sprinkle all that kindness on yourself. Learn to put yourself first even if it means distancing yourself from him. Watch yourself grow and blossom into the person you’re meant to be.
