A Short Fantasy Story

“Hey, Hirino, why don’t we get out of the palace for the day? I know of a place where we can go.” Prince Kyomori offered when he entered the room as Hirino was tending to an injury Hanayousei.

She looked up at him with some confusion as she finished tending to the grateful little flower fairy, who kissed her on the cheek as a thank you before flying off.

“Where were you thinking of heading to?” She asked as she rose from her spot and started to clean up her medical supplies.

A smile crept onto his face as she turned to face him. “There’s a waterfall that I’d love for you and I to visit.” Before she could say a word, the Kitsune took her by the hand to lead her toward the forest.

“Hey, why can’t you just tell me where we’re going, huh?” The Murasakigami stated as her purple and black butterfly wings unfurled as they ran. He ignored her as the two came to a rather large clearing.

The sounds of rushing water could be heard as the two drew closer. “This is what I was talking about.” He said as he showed her the breathtaking sight. “I’m glad that I’m able to spend this day with you.” He could feel his face going red as they stood there listening to the sounds of nature.
