It may sound non-Christian when I advice you to enjoy life, live according to the flow of your heartbeat and do everything with love. Some of the leaders of the church don’t tell you this way. A Christian must perish and live with persecution. This sounds hard to accomplish but I guess it’s right. Some of people around make it harder for you to think. I think the reason why a lot of pastors’ kids were led astray because they thought they were guiding and leading their children to follow God that unfortunately turned out to be harsh and ruthless. I have huge respect for these people, I look upon my Pastors, mentors, and especially parents. In fact, I admire parents who did great (May God bless you with more strength, joy, and grace.) However, your faith… let’s talk about your heart.

They say, someone who goes first might be the last and the last might possibly be the first. Sometimes, we are in a situation where we are leading, where our faith comes first, where our beliefs are admirable, where our words are strong and our minds are wise enough for fools to be shaken. We’re sometimes in the path where people believe in us and see the light in our soul. However, life, as natural as it is, can put you in the last where faith becomes low, where fire becomes weak, and where visions become illusions.

I tell you, dear, journey doesn’t always have to be fierce and consistent. It’s okay to lose yourself in the process of finding it. This leads to a better, newer, reborn, restored version of you.

I’m tired of encouraging everybody to keep the fire burning. Now, as romanticist as I am, and as a friend like how Jesus loves/d me through my darkness, let me embrace you also for who you are. Take rest and surrender. Life isn’t meant for the fire to remain burning. Life is meant to enjoy the ride and take everything slowly.

Worship with all your heart. Surrender your battles. You’ve been fighting a lot. You’ve been so weary with too much pride. You are precious and even in the moment of grinding or resting or losing, to me, you are still gold. You shine with your scars and wounds. You shine with your own incredible light. Even though you are scarlet or snow, you are in the process of everything. You are beautiful in every edge and your color speaks your uniqueness.

It’s not too late to believe again. No one comes first, no one gets last. You are your own. Every moment sing your soul out. Explore your faith. Listen to the goodness and fill you heart with love. But let me tell you this thing, real freedom doesn’t come from how you think. Freedom is loving, freedom is having the opportunity to worship and freedom is the willingness to do good. Now if that freedom is different from yours, I can’t say, you’re wrong. However, you need to think and pray.

Live simply. Being a Christian is simple. Never forget the greatest commandments:

Love the Lord with all your heart, with all your mind, and with all your soul.

Love your neighbors as you love yourself.

See? Everything starts with love. Love your faith and love yourself. You are beautiful… and brave.
