These things will have a positive impact on your relationship and bring your partner closer to you in ways you might not have thought possible at this point. Sure, some of these things might seem small but the effects they have are all enormous.

1. Don’t give up on one another.

While it might be hard if you’re constantly giving up on each other and ready to jump ship things are not going to work. You have to really be in it for the long-run. Life throws us tons of ups and downs, and we have to be prepared for them all. Nothing in this world is as easy as we would like for it to be.

2. Talk through the things bothering you and really come to terms with your issues within the relationship.

There are always going to be issues that come up and being able to communicate properly is one of the only ways to really work through them. You two have to be able to talk to each other about your problems. Regardless of what is going on you need to be in a place emotionally and mentally where going to your partner is like second nature.

3. Make physical intimacy higher on your list.

Stop acting like physical intimacy doesn’t matter if it is something you both need then it is something you both need to work on. Put this higher on your list of important things and start working on it. You can take it slow and really work to please one another in the ways that will allow all of those involved to feel cared for. Your needs and your partner’s needs are both valid.

4. Discuss what it is the two of you really want.

Sure, it might not seem like a lot but discussing the things you both want regarding the relationship and physical intimacy in itself is important. Doing this will allow you both to get on the same page and move forward properly. You have your thoughts and your partner has his/hers, hear one another out.

5. Stop blaming each other for things that cannot be avoided.

Don’t blame each other for things that cannot be changed or avoided. Just because something is going wrong doesn’t mean someone has to be to blame. Stuff happens, and we all need to keep that in mind from time to time.

If you are busy and don’t have time for one another, make time. You should always be willing to make time for your partner, and they should do the same for you. Even just a few minutes each morning can make a huge difference in the mood of your whole relationship.
