Gerontophilia – Wikipedia

An article from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

The gerontophilia (Greek : geron, which means « old man » and philie, which means « love ») is a chronophilia-type paraphilia (atypical sexual behavior) (arousal due to age difference) in which an individual is sexually attracted to a very elderly sexual partner[1].

Some people find themselves attracted to partners that are much older than them. The reassuring and initiating aspect of the elderly is often decisive. Gerontophilia can also derive from the intelligence, the experience, the calmness of people who have had time to live and find themselves available, ready to listen to others.

The sexuality of the elderly is not limited by the anxiety of giving birth for postmenopausal women. Likewise, older men who have had prostate surgery experience retrograde ejaculations that make conception impossible. Erotic literature and erotic cinema, for example, have extensively exploited the theme of the elderly with young people.

Are distinguished: aphamegamy (attraction to an older man), anililagnia or matrolygnagnia[C’est-à-dire ?].

In France, there is no ban on sexual relations between people with a large age difference. Marriage is not prohibited. Sexual assaults against the elderly are punished like other sexual assaults. However, these situations often result in aggravating circumstances during trials, due to the supposed or proven greater vulnerability of the elderly.
