POF : « 4 million active users every day »….sure, i’ve not seen it climb above 550k online.
Is this number worldwide? ’cause if it is than it’s just a sad state of affairs on POF.

Most websites can only have so many people logged in at one time before they crash, which is why you have not seen more than 550k online. Sometimes POF crashes it has happened to me when a lot of people were trying to log in at the same time. It is def world wide though. They just log in at different times
Keep in mind that this number could be optimistic. I don’t know that anyone has verified POF’s numbers. I also think POF has a lot of users who really aren’t invested in serious searching presently, i.e. some are old profiles and maybe some abandoned. Who knows how POF makes their user count?
How many of those are bots. The last time I used their app I received a meet me request from a bot and a message from a questionable person asking for my name and location (her spelling made it seem she had suffered a head injury).
