POF : Anyone else notice a lot of fake profiles on PoF or is it just me and the area I’m in?!
Literally reporting profiles on a daily basis… kind of get an idea when someone’s a fake due to the photos they use. The latest one today was found out on a reverse image search turned out to be a gay porn star from another country. Reported the profile, told the catfish what I knew what the photos and got instantly blocked.
Drives me mad that these people like to deceive people so much and PoF don’t help when they take forever to respond to reports of this nature 🙁

Every day for me too. And it’s so obvious in the text of the bio that they’re scammers, that’s what’s so frustrating. I don’t understand how POF can write an algorithm to censor chat but they can’t screen out the bots.
Whole bunches of them, all the time. Sometimes I would check the « new users » page and it would be around 80% the same profile, but with a different picture and a different « randomly generated » username
I experienced routine floods of bots that would take days for POF to deal with. It has happened to me so often that I deleted my account and went to Bumble, where the profiles are properly verified.
