I’m 23 and was on multiple dating sites for 4 years. I’ve been messaged almost every girl in my area. A few had long conversations with me and agreed to meet. But 24 hours before or even on the day of the date they cancel it and ignore me if I ask why. I couldn’t take it anymore so I deleted my account.

Take a break from OLD for awhile, get into other things in your area, volunteer for community events, go to events, exhibits and shows.
dating is for the top 20% hottest men. The women get so much attention it goes to their heads.. I’ve had most luck with profiles that don’t have pictures because those women don’t get bombed and let the attention go to their heads. Both dates I got were pictureless profiles. 80% of the women on the site don’t want anything serious, and it’s best to ignore anything they say in their profiles because much like in real life with women, you go by their actions because what they say/feel changes from minute to minute or is an outright fabrication.

Kill it for a while, focus on you and forget online dating. As a guy who does fairly well cancellations do sort of just happen, often they’re meeting with other people and something clicks.
I was supposed to meet 3 women this weekend, 1 really good prospect, and 2/3 cancelled for no good reason, 1 at the very last minute, another just stopped responding in the middle of the « time and place » discussion.
4 years is a tough run, just take a break. Desperation shows, even online.
Seriously? Maybe it is the way you’re messaging them? I know as a girl in a smaller city I get a lot of messages which is frustrating when the guys don’t put effort into it. Usually at least five new guys a week. Maybe 1 out of 15 guys I would consider meeting ans they aren’t usually the hottest or richest guys. They’re abke to have a meaningful conversation, have interests, etc. several quick ways to get deleted is to call me pet names, admit to drug usage, and have no interests (seriously, movies, video games, and Netflix should not be a guy’s only interests).
Just stick with it, but don’t put too much eggs in that basket. Send messages, but don’t expect anything to come out of it. Less expectations equals less frustrations.
