POF : Disappearing messages?
Wondering if anyone knows what is going on here. I was talking yo this girl on the app tonight for a couple of hours, so certain they are real etc and not one of the many many bots. Suddenly after they replied too me, their profile and messages disappear from my inbox/outbox.
There is no reason they would have blocked me as they had just replied to me and I can access the messages so far and their profile by going to the notifications tab and clicking on the one for the first message sent by them to me.
Confused as to what has gone on here so any help is appreciated as I don’t know how long they will stay in the tab and haven’t had a reply since-but that could be due to the time and them going to bed.

Dunno bro….its never happened whit me on POF….Wait a day….most likely she delete her account….it will take a bit till its actually come up whit no Prof pics and you wont be able to see her profile..

That seems pretty bizarre for someone to engage in basic conversation and then block someone out of nowhere. Then again, maybe I shouldn’t be surprised. Most recently, I had two « It’s mutual » notifications. I sent both a general greeting. One disappeared from my sent folder, and the other is still unread. It’s not a big deal, but I think it is strange for one to disappear. I’ve also encounter disappearing profiles. Probably five times, I have received a « like » notification only to receive the message « this profile is no longer available. » I mean, I just got the notification. How is it no longer available? There could be many possibilities, but after a while, knowing the technical reason starts to become more interesting. Like, was it a fake account deleted by POF? Did the person delete their account? Did the person block me? It all seems quite bizarre or coincidental.
I’ve had the same thing happen to me. I went out of the message screen and found their profile pic in one of the other areas (nearby or my likes, etc). When I click on the profile it shows all the info and pictures. Click the message bubble and there are all our messages including the one I just sent and once a new message from her. Sending a message from this doesn’t bring her back into the sent/received list under the messages tab. I have no idea what it all means. But that’s what I’ve discovered
