POF : I got jipped

Hey ladies and gentlemen of the r/POF community,

I am here to speak about the incident that affected me last night. It began with an initial plan for me to get a hotel room so I could spend time with a woman [WO]. I waited some time for her to come.

WO finally showed up, I gave her the money so she could see a plug about a dub. She left her stuff in my hotel room and she told me that she would come back. About four hours in, I realized that she may not come back. I have not heard from WO all night.

Next morning, I woke up to find out that WO has blocked me from all social media. If it weren’t for the fact that she left her shit in my room, I wouldn’t have bothered to contact her at all. Unfortunately, however, that was the case.

Therefore, I contacted WO through an alternate social media account to inform her that if she does not return by 11am (the latest time I have to check out of my room), she will be responsible for the stuff she left.

I have concluded that she has indeed bailed on plans and I have wasted money I do not have on a hotel room for no reason.

Moral of the story: If you ever make plans with someone and they leave in the middle (and blocked you on social media), they should not be trusted. Also, if you expect me to spend money on making things happen, I expect you to commit to those things and to be grateful for what I do.

People may think it is not about the money, it’s about the principle of the matter. However, even though it is about the principle of the matter, it is also about the fact that money is not free and people work their asses off to make the bread. I do not have the time, the energy, and the money to be playing games like that. I am too old for this shit.

If you cannot respect the person spending money to make things happen, you should not expect them to come around for you in the future. In other words, if you cannot respect me, you should not be expecting me to foot the bill in the future. In fact, I will automatically cut you off. I’m dead fucking serious.
