POF : Matching issues
Has anyone else been getting random like matches all of a sudden? This last week, I’ve been getting matched every day, and I don’t mean this in an offensive way, but every single one of these people, there’s no way I would have matched with them based on their profiles. I also don’t use the « like » button anyway, I typically use the swipe feature.

If you or someone only likes you you will be sent a notification that says they want to get to know you. If you use the meet me section it will say they want to meet you. If they use that it most likely a spam bot. If you pay for pof you can see who viewed your profile so if someone sends you a message also if they are real they will more than likely look at your profile. That how I decide who is real or fake.
I have no clue why it does that. In my settings I have the box checked No when asked « would you date someone who has kids? ». Though I get plenty of messages from single mothers and it matches me with them too.
I also have my matched set within a 20 mile radius. But get matched with people a lot further out.
So I’m thinking everything is just random. They have options in there to make it look like you have control.
On every dating app I’ve been on, more than half of the app’s « suggested » matches are total crap and appear to correlation only one or two details out of what I use for searches.

i have. i’ll go on there and see i’ve got a new match with someone i have zero recollection of ever even seeing their profile let alone swiping them. i get it almost daily too. i really don’t know what’s up with that
