POF : Missed connection
How long does it take you to get over a missed connection?
You finally find someone you like and they return with just as much interest. You flirt back and forth, both share personal details, have things in common and continue hour after hour for a few days. Then, they suddenly disappear and it’s over.
You’ve got to get back out and try again, right? But how long until you get over the disappointment?
It takes me about a week once I delete the messages and stop thinking that was my only shot.

You shouldn’t invest so much in someone you’ve never met. It’s the equivalent of talking to a random girl purely platonic, for a few days, finding out that she has a boyfriend and then spending weeks moping over her. For me, if it doesn’t work out, too bad. Her loss. Onto the next.
I personally cannot invest into someone emotionally ( someone ive been talking to online) until I’ve met them and we’ve established a first meeting and usually it requires more like 3-4 meeting before i really know weather the person is worth my time and my presence. Often time before when i was younger i would be nieve and trust people and trust the process but it often left my heart very heavy because even know you’ve met someone you’d like to take things further with online does not mean that it will translate well in person its not a garenteed.
