POF : Now that I finally have a job will this increase my odds of finding someone?
I’ve got a mental illness and I’ve depended on ssi and food stamps all my life. Well… Not anymore! I finally turned a hobby of mine into a real job. I’ve been hired as a computer programmer after someone saw my work. I’ve finally broken free from all the issues and problems I’ve had with just depending on the government for my survival. Now I wonder. Might this help my chance with the ladies any? A lot of them didn’t talk to me because they didn’t wanna have to live that kind of poor life.

This is a good change, and mostly for you independent of what a potential date thinks.
And it’ll open up your options for sure. Although there are some people that don’t care about their date having a job, making yourself more applicable across various demos will always help.
Overall, this is a great step for yourself!
I usually get good responses from them. But After they heard I didn’t have a job they seemed to lose interest.
