POF : So is it just me or are there an absurd amount of bots on this site
Seriously, I’ve been on it for a few months now, I check daily just to see how things are going, and there’s a TON of fake profiles.
Do I have to pay for the site to get better filters on the bots? Or is this just the way it is

The only thing worse than trying to meet people on-line is trying to meet people off-line.
In three days Ive been on POF I have received 10 messages from different women and every one of them just says
Hey there 🙂
I highly doubt if they were real people they would all use the exact same message like that.
I have received a couple messages from real people. One woman from a neighboring town Ive been talking to a couple times a day, and a couple more that are just too far away. If I get a message that just says « Hey there 🙂 », Im just ignoring it now.
I also got a message from a lady in a far away state, Im not sure how that is supposed to work.
It definite has way more than any app I’ve used. When I had a profile I even put how there seems to be more bots than actual humans.
Well the woman IVe been chatting with for the last two days is all of the sudden gone. Gone from my favorite tab, messages gone from my message page. We hadn’t talked of anything serious, just general back and forth.
Are there any real women on these things that actually are interested in relationships?
Seems like 90% of the accounts are bots. I have a feeling that either the developers are creating them and using them to bait people to the site or they are being paid by the scammers to be allowed on.
And yet real people like me are getting banned/blocked/deleted as soon as I sign up.
Maybe because it’s a free site. Do you know if the paid membership apps have the same problem?
