POF : The BOTS are relentless!

POF : The BOTS are relentless!

Holy cow, re signed up with paid subscription this time, because I’m a sucker for punishment.

Except this time I’m being endlessly bombarded with super hot women from places unknown, with a very predictable script:

Greeting, often inviting me to say my name.

What am I looking for.

They too want a bunch of stuff from opposite sex.

What are you doin.

Want to chat.

Heres an awesome link for scam!

Sometimes they will ask for phone number and when declined, then provide scam chat link.

I’ve had over 30 in 24 hours.

I’ve turned off notification just to let them pile up before I check once a day to delete them all.

  1. I see zero benefit in being a paid pof subscriber. I didnt upgrade the app so I still enjoy some benefits unless I must upgrade and that was 2 years ago.

Aside from that I get a lot of fake « meetme » likes.

  2. I know it’s a lot to ask, and in the end it might not make much of a difference, but report them so they get taken down. I swear if I had a nickel for everytime I ran into a bot, on POF alone, I’d have gold diggers lining up in real life.
I don’t know if POF is even worth the effort at this point.

  3. Also look at the profiles. They use  » instead of ‘ in contractions. There job is usually only two letters and of course the pictures don’t usually line up.

  4. I’ve got about 80 likes on that shit.

My success with real women is very hit or miss but I’m apparently early 2000’s Brad Pitt as it relates to bots
