Okay Nathan one easy way to put this is you have to imagine your dating profile as a product. It has to advertise you, what makes you stand out? For example, saying your an average kinda guy is more than fine……If you have other reasons to either convince people that you are the next best thing.
So here is an example, you don’t know me and I don’t know you. Why would I want to message you Nathan after reading your profile?
Since I am certainly fine with someone being average – Relaxed. But I am pretty sure most people are not looking for just the average Joe the mass majority would want a bit more than that – Which I am sure you are!
This is just me nitpicking here but you do technically contradict yourself by saying.
« I’m just your regular guy. I go to work, I hang out with people. »
That is then followed by…
« I’m a creative person. I always think of something different. The last thing is always a meal somewhere interesting. »
If you really are that creative person you should be able to say why. And whilst I do not know you personally I am sure if you sat down for 20 minutes or so you could tell us easily in a paragraph or two!
Some points just in summary.
1. You say you like to listen to music, what bands? Favourite musician? Do you have that guilty pleasure song that oh so many people do? Write it down, it doesn’t have to be an essay but a sentence or two wouldn’t hurt. Apply this way of thinking to your interests.
2. Using words such as « I dunno » kind of give off a shy vibe, insecurity in a way. Let’s be honest if you handed this to me as an essay or a piece of advertising work you would cut that word out. You don’t need to have filler words on a dating profile! Especially ones that look like you don’t put in a lot of effort!
3. Its a good thing that you actually listed what you specifically are looking for, just remember that you can expand on that a bit more if you wish!
4. Add some more pictures of yourself. Shots of you smiling, a couple of group pictures never hurt either. This shows that you have a social life and that you are a pleasure to be around. Just make sure they are semi recent, no pictures from when you just finished primary school at age 9!
I don’t want it to come across as if I am trying to roast you on your profile, that is not my intention. I am just telling you what I personally think when I open your plenty of fish profile and have a read. Hopefully I helped open your eyes a little bit and I honestly hope you find your match, since it is a ballsy thing to do to post your profile and ask for critique.

Honest constructive feedback – Take another picture without a pimple on your nose! And put up a variety of pictures. 1 picture makes it look like you’re trying to hide something!
I have a pretty out there sense of humor and I can’t tell if the mini-golf thing is a joke or not. If it is, its kinda funny but a little too far out for most people, if it’s not, its kinda terrifying.
