POF : When you meet someone off POF how long before you stop checking, hide, and delete your profile?
I was curious as to how every one else works the site after meeting someone off of it?
If I get a message or send one and the conversation really goes well and I feel like there is enough of a connection to meet up, then I will agree to a first date. If the first date goes well I exchange a number but I am still on the site. After about 4-5 dates my profile is still up but I am not checking it. after about 8-10 dates I hide my profile. If it ends up becoming a boyfriend girlfriend relationship, then I delete the profile completely.

If she’s responsive in conversation I try to get a date within 2 days. I find it hard to determine if there is any chemistry just based off text conversations alone so I don’t like to drag it out. This may just be a result of getting burned in the past. I had a few situations where I chatted with a girl for weeks just to get ghosted when I asked for a date. I don’t hold it against them but I just don’t want to waste my time if they’re not actually interested in meeting in person. I don’t like to juggle a lot of « people I’m seeing » at once so if I get to 1 or 2 girls I feel have potential I am not really going to spend a lot of time on dating apps while I feel out the situation so I’ll probably hide my profile at that time just to avoid the distraction and getting messaged by new people. If I got into a formal relationship I would only delete my profile then.
It’s a difficult one to balance, I seem to care about that than most girls I talk to though? I’ve been on a few dates where they’ve talked about how much they’re enjoying going on lots of dates and meeting people, and it makes you feel a bit like.. « well you’re not giving me much confidence you’d like to see where things go with me! »
