POF : Women and messy ass apartments/houses

I’ve met a handful of women off pof over the years and one thing that I’ve realized is that most women don’t clean for shit on there. Holy fuck, I’ve never seen so many messy ass apartments in my life. Has anyone else had this experience?

  1. Im obsessively neat and clean. Never dated a guy up to my standards lol. Even my bf is struggling just to clean up after himself. I do most aka 95% of the house work

  2. Most if not all of the women I’ve dated have been horrific house keepers. Their bedrooms looked like crash sites. I don’t get how people can like that; it would cause me serious anxiety.

It’s like living in a physical manifestation of your own pathology.

  3. One of my recent ex-gfs. I visited her house for the first time. She had dishes that were piled around two feet higher than the top of the sink (counter level). I couldn’t even squeeze a cup in there to get some faucet water. The dishes had moldy food in them. The sad thing? She had a dishwasher. I have never owned a dishwasher. I have to wash them by hand. It can be a pain sometimes. And to think she had one and didn’t even use it.

Another recent ex-friend. Went to her house for the first time. She had maybe 12 large bags of trash that she hadn’t taken out. Also didn’t use her dishwasher. Took paper and rolled it up into balls and threw it for her cat to chase. Her entire floor was covered with paper like that, and also tons and tons of cat hair. She is the type of person who won’t check her mail for 2-3 months straight. The mail man would grab her mail and knock on her door and be mad at her, and instead of being ashamed she will talk bad about the mail man. That’s why I call her a « friend » and not a gf. I can’t be with someone like that who is completely unwilling to do simple things around the house, especially when they aren’t working and are at home 24/7.

I’ve lived with women that keep a clean house, but the whole idea that women are somehow neater and cleaner than men is a myth. Also, there are a lot of women I wouldn’t trust to cook for me. They spend hundreds of more dollars on groceries than I would, use way more ingredients than I would, end up cooking something that tastes worse than microwaved frozen food, and then make a mess so bad it would take me days to clean. Women’s ideas of being « independent » is to just eat out all of the time, on everyone else’s dime. And some of the ones who clean are kinda forced into it, but it isn’t their normal lifestyle. A woman, or a human being of any gender, should clean not because it is required of them but because they genuinely want to keep a neat, clean place.

  4. It’s disgusting. That’s why I restrict myself to know better someone before getting into a relationship or even getting in bed with them as you don’t how they live behind closed doors.

I have noticed this behaviour pattern also with my local Instagram ‘Influencers’, totally awful.

  5. If you look under someone’s bed and it looks like there are 2,000 random items under there with tons of dust and cobwebs, that person is not a good housekeeper. If you go into their kitchen and have a look at their toaster and there are enough crumbs in the toaster to fill up one or two cereal bowls, that person is not a good housekeeper. If you go into a person’s bathroom, and there are one or more empty toilet paper rolls that the person did not throw away, they are not a tidy person. If their trash cans are full, or their fridge has food that have long since expired, they are not a clean person.

  6. I have a little clutter. I try not to have a mess. A lot of people just don’t seem to understand that presentation can be important. I may not keep it really clean, but if I think that I have some company coming over, I at least make sure to give it all a once over. But that’s just me

  7. Just got the weirdest dejavu reading this… I remember like a year ago jumping from the /r/psychology subreddit to this one. Then reading a post about girls and messy rooms.. while working on the same exact report at work that working on right now. Weird
