Download and use the stickers
- Open an individual or group chat.
- To add sticker packs, tap Emoji > Stickers > Add.
- Press on Download next to the sticker pack you want to download. If prompted, press DOWNLOAD • {file size}.
- A green check mark will appear when the download is complete.
- Press on Return.
- Tap the sticker you want to send.
Once you tap on the sticker, it is sent automatically.
Additional options:
- Press on Recent to see the stickers you have recently used.
- Press on Favorites to see your favorite stickers.
- To add a sticker to favorites, tap the sticker in an individual or group chat> ADD TO FAVORITES. Otherwise, press Emoji > Stickers. Then keep your finger pressed on the sticker and press ADD.
- To remove a sticker from favorites, tap the sticker in an individual or group chat> REMOVE FAVORITES. Otherwise, press Emoji > Stickers > Favorites. Touch and hold the sticker and press REMOVE.
- The stickers are classified according to the emojis displayed on the icons. Tap the framed heart-shaped button to see a set of sticker categories.
- Press on Add for more sticker options. Scroll tab ALL STICKERS all the way down and press GET MORE STICKERS. You will then be redirected to the Google Play Store where you can download sticker apps.
- Press on Search to find stickers that you have previously downloaded. You can search for stickers using text or emojis.
- Note : Stickers downloaded outside of WhatsApp may not be found via search if their creator has not tagged them, in accordance with WhatsApp rules.
- The search for stickers is done completely offline. WhatsApp does not collect any information about your sticker usage or the keywords you use when searching for stickers.
- To see the sticker packs you’ve downloaded, tap Add > MY STICKERS.
- If you want to delete a particular sticker pack, tap Remove > REMOVE. * To reorganize your sticker packs, press and hold Reorganize next to a sticker pack and slide the pack out.
- To update sticker packs, tap Add when a green dot appears. In the tab ALL STICKERS, Press on UPDATE next to the sticker pack to update. If prompted, press UPDATE • {file size}.
- A green check mark will appear once the update is complete.
The stickers are available on the latest versions of WhatsApp. If you don’t see them, make sure you’ve downloaded the latest version of WhatsApp from your phone’s app store.
