h2>Dating : How to Stop a Panic Attack Before It Starts
Before you go bat-sh*t crazy the next time you’re in a traffic jam or are about to take-off in an airplane, you might want to try tapping yourself to control your anxiety.
Let me explain …
The other day, while I was killing time, I had an interesting conversation with a therapist who happens to treat military service members. He told me about this technique he teaches veterans to use on themselves whenever they’re about to experience a panic attack.
It’s called Emotion Freedom Technique, but basically it involves tapping yourself on certain places on your body. It sounds weird but apparently it works.
This tapping exercise helps you refocus your mind and curtail the emotions that trigger your anxiety.
My therapist ‘friend’ says he uses the technique with his patients whenever their emotions are triggered by memories of combat.
Imagine being able to control your anxiety before you have a panic attack.
Even if you’re not a veteran, but you experience panic attacks, wouldn’t this technique be something you’d want to learn?
Check out this YouTube video below by Penelope Ryder which shows you how to use the technique on yourself. It’s only about two minutes and 14 seconds long.
