h2>Dating : How Did a Portrait Complete His Daughter’s Dream?

Short story

Life Coach N

In the morning he felt downhearted. The same question was going in his mind.

Tonight, he could not sleep, he was walking in the room restlessly. After a while, he stopped and sat down with paper and pencil.

For a long time, he was not earning any money. His only source of income was his art. That he used to sit on a tourist spot and make sketches or portraits of tourists on their request, sometimes he engraved intense feelings on paper. By the grace of God public used to adore his artwork selling them hands-on.

God adorned him with this skill of depicting feelings on paper.

He had a beautiful eight-year-old daughter, Marry.

For the past few days, whenever he asked his daughter what should I bring for you, she would have only one answer, I want only and only Barbie doll.

Monto was angry at himself for not having enough money to fulfill his daughter’s demand. He fixed himself on a chair and started his drawing, which was in his mind from the last few days.

An artist is never satisfied with his artwork. He too was not fully satisfied with his art, something was lacking in it he was thinking constantly but couldn’t figure it out, but his pain was out, tears from his eyes rolled down on his artwork of which he was unaware.

In the morning he felt downhearted. The same question was going in his mind. He was thinking if today he would get enough money for the barbie doll?

During the daytime, a gentleman stopped by to buy a portrait, Monto made a magnificent portrait and gave it to him, Monto’s art impressed him very much, suddenly a picture caught his sight which Monto had kept aside. He couldn’t stop himself and took that picture in his hands.

Amazing! This picture is so beautiful, this girl looks just like my daughter, I wish! She would be with me.

Seeing the picture, that gentleman became very emotional and started telling — ten years ago my daughter had asked me for a doll, but I did not have that much money in those days. One day I managed to buy the doll, but when I reached home to surprise my daughter… she had left the world and her desire to play with a doll remained incomplete. The gentleman asked Monto how much does this picture cost?

Monto took that picture in his hand. He got surprised by his artwork too. The picture came out to be just as he wanted it to be. He looked at the picture minutely and found something unique in it. He remembered that while making the picture a tear just rolled down his eyes, it must have fallen on this picture at that time, he thought. It seemed as if the pain and emotions of his tears filled life in that picture.

A thought clicked in his mind that the picture is excellent and that he could get a good price of it. He wished not to sell that picture.

The gentleman again asked Monto what’s the price of the picture, but Monto could speak nothing. Anticipating Monto’s unwillingness to sell the picture, the gentleman advanced his wallet full of dollars towards Monto. Thinking something Monto himself gave that picture to the gentleman at the right price.

Monto was also thrilled to sell the picture at a fair price. Now he just wanted to reach home with a Barbie doll of his daughter’s choice with no delay …
