The idea of having a soulmate waiting for us somewhere is very common, especially in western culture. A man or a woman whit whom we are bond by destiny and who can understand us deeply without any doubt. Two-thirds of American adults believe in the idea of a soulmate, according to a 2017 Monmouth University , so 2/3 of adults believe that there is someone in the world “perfect for them”.

This Idea implies that we as individuals are incomplete, and that we are always looking for perfection in a relationship. I do believe that we can have fulfilling and happy relationships with a man/woman compatible with us , but a relationship only need to be an enhancement.

Sometimes we loose ourselves by looking for the one, and we forget to love ourselves first, by waisting our: time, energy and mind on idealised love. The only person that you need to prioritise is you ! we need to date ourselves first before dating someone else.

1 Take care of yourself

An healthy body creates an healthy mind.

The first thing to work on, to have a relationship with yourself is to Take care of your body

  • Build a healthy relationship with food, by consuming real food and by avoiding over processed food.
  • Build your own skin care routine
  • hydrate your body by drinking at least 1 L of water a day.

It’s well known that reading bring many benefits to us. It can reduce stress, help building your vocabulary, increase your empathy and so on. So why not try to read more?

When I started reading I discovered unknown places , I learned english and most importantly I challenged my own beliefs. Reading opens your mind and definitely makes you a better individual.

On f the best books I was lucky to read is “The laws of human nature “ by Robert Green. A life changing book, which. make you question even your own mind.

This is the most important step in the journey. to date yourself. Meditation gave me awareness and peace of mind . You don’t to meditate. hours and hours to feel the benefits of it , 5 minutes a day it’s what it takes.

meditation is the most important step because by practicing it , you will eventually understand that you are love, that you are complete and that everything outside of you can only be an enhancement.
