POF : Messages That Are Unread & Deleted
So I upgraded to Premium 10 days or so ago just to try it. One of the main reasons is because someone who I knew from college popped up, so I was curious to see if she read my message and/or viewed my profile. She wasn’t online for a week after I sent her a message and still nothing. Then I noticed today that she deleted my message and didn’t read it. I’m sure she gets lots of messages so maybe she just cleared her inbox. Or maybe she saw my face and deleted it, haha! My question is this – should I try again, maybe if I happen to see her actively online? We used to get on really well and my message was just saying it was nice to see a familiar face and was it her. (It definitely is). Maybe I shouldn’t have tapped like…. What do you think? I’ve been on there 6 months and this is by far the person I’ve most been interested in.

It’s worth a try. Just resend the original message. Don’t overthink it.
See them all the time, even sent 3 priority messages this weekend and they have not red them yet. They have been online several times today. Almost wonder if priority actually puts your message at the top or not
Whenever I see a message that I sent go unread and deleted, I wonder what happened. Also, the messages that go perpetually unread, despite the person being online quite a bit.
I just logged in and I’ve just missed the lady I mentioned in my OP by 19 minutes. Damnit! Oh well, she’s been online much more the last few days so I have a decent chance of catching her now.
You seriously sat down and thought « I should ask people if I should continue messaging someone who clearly isn’t interested in hearing from me » and that made perfect sense to you? Not even for a second did you think « maybe I should cut my losses and move on to someone who may be interested in me »? And then you made the decision to *come back* detailing how you just missed her and how you may have a better chance of catching her now, because your message going unread and deleted the first time wasn’t a clear indication that she’s not interested.
There must be something in the TOS of online dating that requires males to cast aside all shame and pride because the things y’all say and do on these apps would be mortifying to a person with some self worth and common sense. Holy crap.
