Both male and female perspectives welcome. This is assuming the dude pays for the first few dates.

  1. After the first date with this girl I’m still seeing, I initiated contact by saying I really enjoyed our time and would like to see her again. By the second and third we both were sending text after and then starting conversations after. So go for it and tell them how you felt after each date.

  2. Honestly I have no preference as to who initiates contact after a date. If I had a wonderful time, I will reach out and hope that he responds. However, if the date didn’t go well then I would be less likely to reach out to him.

  3. I never put much thought into it. Sometimes I do, sometimes they do. I don’t really pay attention. I think it’s dumb to have those kind of « rules » or expectations. Just be yourself and do what feels natural. If the other person is put off by it, oh well. I’m not trying to snag someone who plays games like that.

  4. There’s no “supposed to”, it should be whenever one person wants to talk to the other person. Usually if there’s no interest in seeing the person again I wouldn’t, if they reach out I’ll let them know, thank you but I didn’t feel like it would be a good match.

  5. Doesn’t matter who pays and there is no rule about who initiates first. It’s neither genders job.

That said, no matter who initiates the contact after a date, 8/10 times its going to be the man who makes plans/arrangements for another date.
