I started coffee meets bagel weeks ago without taking it seriously. Messaged a bunch of guys that I thought was cute and had a nice profile. One of my « bagels » really clicked with me and we went back and forth for a few days. We exchanged numbers, and I asked if we could watch a movie Friday. Turns out we both wanted to see the same movie. I usually start online dates at coffee places, but he will be picking me up with his car. Taking me out for dinner and drinks based on my answer to his questions about food preferences. I said I’m not the « expect the guy to do everything » person, and I have no issue figuring the logistics together, but he said he got it. Okay lol. Then, we’ll grab a late ticket for Scary stories to tell in the dark. Then, he’ll take me back home. At least, that’s the plan.

I never had successful dates through online apps. But, it kinda feels nice feeling nervous and excited. It’s definitely a risk (like am I SURE I want to go into a stranger’s car?) I understand things COULD go downhill, and the car ride could get really awkward if either one of us loses interest. But, I definitely want to give this guy a chance. I just hope I don’t do anything stupid.
