Dating : Been dating the same guy for 2 months now

We planned our first get away in two weeks. We haven’t had sex but I’m sure that weekend it might happen. Right now, though the “what are we” is running through my head. Especially after this weekend where he seemed so busy I barely got any text messages from him nor do we have any dates planned before that weekend. Communication slowed down, and I’m slowing it down even more because of his hesitation. What I’m asking is… I’m confused … I have asked him before and he said he says potential and like where things are going .. well how long does it take for a guy to make things official? We’ve gone on several dates I can’t even count. I might be over thinking everything due to not seeing him this weekend ..

  1. Depends on what you want. You should both be on the same page. If you’re okay waiting for the trip to see how things are, then wait for the trip to happen. Personally, I wouldn’t really bother dating someone for two months without sex or getting to some kind of “are we exclusive and monogamous?” As the least…….

I repeat, what do you want? Is he attentive? Do you feel the relationship as it is has grown in some way? He might be wanting to experience the physical side with you and then make a decision. That might be his method in dating. That doesn’t mean that has to be yours.

I’d say wait for the trip, and if things don’t grow or you don’t have your questions answered, move on. If he doesn’t like you enough to define the relationship after two months and a trip together, then I’d move on. He’ll learn than his pace doesn’t exactly work for women or at least a good chunk of women. Maybe it’ll work for other women. Who knows. Just be honest and truthful about what you want, your needs, and what you’re looking for in a relationship.
